  HAAKE RheoWin Software, version 2.97
 Download the RheoWin files
This is a fully executable version of RheoWin. Please note that in order to be able to install RheoWin 2.97 on your computer you need a RheoWin 2 Key-Diskette !

Download the following two *.ZIP files and copy them to a single (temporary) directory on your hard drive.

Then unzip each of the eight *.ZIP files using any suitable unzip program.

In case you do not have an (UN)ZIP program you can download a freeware ZIP program  from the following Web-site : http://www.ozemail.com.au/~nulifetv/freezip/index.html.

Because of the size of the *.cab files it is not possible anymore to copy the installation files to floppy disks.

  • RheoWin 2.97 runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows NT4.0, Windows2000 and Windows XP ;
    it will not run under Windows 3.x or Windows NT3.x !
  • Thermo highly recommends the use of a PC with a Pentium III 500 (or faster) processor and at least 256 Mb of RAM

Rheowin 3 license key
In order to be able to install this version of RheoWin on your computer you will need a RheoWin 2 Key-Diskette.

You can request a RheoWin 2 Key-Diskette by writing an e-mail to: info.ctd.de@thermo.com

You can download a KEY-Diskette for a Demo-version of RheoWin from the link below. After downloading the file register.zip unzip the file, this will result in a file Register.exe. Then copy the file Register.exe to a floppy disk and label the disk "RheoWin KEY-Diskette".
 

Please note: If you already have a valid RheoWin KEY-Diskette there is no need to download this file.
Installation of RheoWin 2.97
RheoWin 2.97 can be installed parallel to an existing RheoWin 3.xx installation if needed. Please note that RheoWin 2.97 can NOT read RheoWin 3.xx data, job and page files!! RheoWin 3.xx can read RheoWin 2.97 files! RheoWin 2.97 should never be installed in the same directory as RheoWin 3.xx !!

Although it is not necessary to deinstall an older version (of RheoWin) when you are upgrading RheoWin to version 2.97 we do recommend that you completely deinstall the older version. We also recommend that you reboot the computer after deinstalling the older version and before installing the new version.

It is necessary to reboot your computer (only if you ran RheoWin after the computer was booted the last time) before you run the RheoWin installation program!

To install RheoWin from harddisk go to the (temporary) directory in which you unzipped the eight *.ZIP files after downloading and start the Setup.exe program.

The installation program will guide you through the installation. Please make sure that you have a KEY-Diskette (see above) readily available since the installation program will ask for this disk.
RheoWin and Windows users (Administrators, PowerUsers, Users, etc.)
Windows users with the default Administrator or PowerUser rights will be able to run RheoWin without the need for any modifications.

For Windows users with the default Users rights an Administrator has to make sure that those users have read and write (!) access to the RheoWin 3 main directory and all its subdirectories, as well read and write (!) access to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Haake\RheoWin
key in the windows registry.
